COVID-19 restrictions update

COVID-19 health restrictions will be relaxing around NSW from Wednesday 1st July.


  • Public outdoor gatherings will increase to a total of 20 people and all Tamworth council park barbeques and reserves will reopen.

  • The Tamworth Sports Dome will reopen for casual use and Junior Sports with COVIDSafe plans can recommence.

  • Tamworth’s Power station Museum will reopen by appointment for small groups so as to maintain the 4 square metres social distancing rule.

  • The box office at Tamworth’s Capitol Theatre will reopen, however, the performance space will remain closed for the time being.

  • The splash pad at Tamworth’s Bicentennial Park will also remain closed at this time.
